GlossaryWe offer this glossary as a guide to the technology of the Internet "forest." The glossary describes primarily policy and technology terms. It is separated into various technology areas with which the COOK Report deals. Note that the hot link "show me" under Additional Options below will allow you to retrieve an alphabetical listing of the defined terms that make up the entire glossary. You may click on a specific term or abbreviation while reading the executive summaries on our WEB pages and, assuming that the word is defined in our glossary, you will receive a definition of that word. You may also enter a word or its initial substring in the Search field, and click the "Go" button. If the word is defined in the glossary, you will receive the definition. If you select an area from the area menu bar and click the "Go" button, you will receive a list of the words defined for that area.
